Here are three unusual assignments we have recently completed for high-profile industry leaders:

• Energy giant Unocal sought someone to design and implement a tax accounting system. TaxTalent.com's Contract Staffing Division had on their books someone with specialized tax accounting skills for the energy industry.
  She wrote a proposal of how her skills could benefit Unocal, was interviewed and hired. After joining the company on an interim basis, Unocal was so impressed with her work that they created a permanent position for her.
  
  
• BHP Billiton's North America office in Houston needed someone to cover for their Compliance Manager, who had taken leave of absence to travel abroad for 2 ½ years.
  The company hired a contract person direct who lasted less than a year.
  TaxTalent.com found an individual who had all the skills they needed and facilitated an 18-month package that all parties agreed to. After nine months, both BHP Billiton and the candidate are happy with the relationship and intend to maintain it.
  
  
• Tyco International, industry leader in electrical and electronic component manufacturer based in Boca Raton, Florida, needed help with year-end FAS109 and other tax accounting issues. The complexities of their corporate structure, coupled with the impending relocation to New Jersey, created a unique environment and workload.
  TaxTalent.com located two (2) individuals with relevant experience with industry and "Big 4" background to temporarily relocate to Florida to handle this assignment.

Another assignment was with a high-tech manufacturer needing Transfer Pricing work on an irregular basis - TaxTalent found a PhD Economist who was a past "Big 4" Partner. We have also found a Senior Compliance Analyst to assist a west-coast manufacturer for 5 months during their federal and state compliance season.
