Any opinion or suggestion would help.
I have a Masters degree from a french speaking african country and am seriously planning to go for an LLM. The problem is that I did not have impressionant grades in my LLB, but in the other hand, I did really well in my DESS (Masters) in corporate tax law. Also, I worked as a tax and legal auditor in a bank for a year, and as associate for PwC in my country.
My goal is to get into NYU, Georgetown, UF.
I would like to know what aspect I can emphasize in my statement letter, to hold the attention of the admission afficers.
If someone can also throw in some other tax LLM programs that could help me land a job easily, please don't hesitate.
Thanx
Like you I am an international student. My suggestion is for you to ensure that you will be able to do well in the first semester. This is the best guarantee of getting a job. having said that, many european classmates (non-tax) are unable to secure permanent positions here apart from a 1 year attachment before being sent back, so think carefully and check with your school's career service.

Thanks for your advice. I am not accepted in a program yet, but looking for some insights and points I can stress out in my application to get accepted into NYU, GTwn or UF.
Could you please tell me the program(international tax or US tax) you've been accepeted in, and the school. i am just considering applying, I am not yet in the LLM.
Thanks
