In recognition of the outstanding leadership and service rendered by Diane Tinney, past Executive Director of The Association for Computers and Taxation (ACT) who retired from ACT in June of 2002, it's Board of Directors takes pride in establishing the Tax Technology Award. One award may given annually to interns or junior candidates of ACT Members and is established as a continuing reminder of Diane Tinney's dedication to applying technology advances to corporate tax departments. This award is to support students in applying technology advances to corporate tax departments.

Carlson School of Management MBT Scholarships
The MBT program offers scholarships for full-time and part-time admitted students. To qualify, you cannot be eligible for full tuition and fee reimbursement from your employer, and you must demonstrate strong academic merit. Information regarding application for scholarships will be emailed in late July to current & newly admitted MBT students.
Amount: Up to $7,500

Merit Scholarship at American University
All applicants are considered for merit scholarships; a separate application is not required for consideration. Scholarship recipients are notified at the time of admission. In general, scholarship recipients have excellent academic credentials and exhibit exceptional leadership skills.

The Theodore Tannenwald Jr. Foundation for Excellence in Tax Scholarship
Named for the late Tax Court Judge Theodore Tannenwald, Jr., and designed to perpetuate his dedication to legal scholarship of the highest quality, the Tannenwald Writing Competition is open to all full or part-time law school students, undergraduate or graduate. Papers on any federal or state tax-related topic may be submitted in accordance with the Competition Rules.
Amount: Cash prizes of $5,000, $2,500 or $1,500

Georgetown University Law Center / COST Fellowship
Georgetown University Law Center and the Council on State Taxation (COST) invite applications for the Fellowships in State and Local Taxation. The students chosen for the Fellowships will receive a $7,500 stipend and an internship at COST in Washington, D.C. Please note that the COST Fellowship may affect financial aid packages. Preference is given to full-time LL.M. (Taxation) students.
