We are looking for a Tax Planning Manager who will be responsible for the following:
- Tax research, analysis and planning to minimize tax liabilities and identify tax saving opportunities
- Manage tax planning projects and staff resources to achieve targeted goals
- Evaluate impact of proposed transactions, including the management of modeling
- Evaluate potential impact of tax law changes
- Coordinate with and contact appropriate tax/accounting staff to evaluate/discuss complex transactions
- Manage responses to complex inquiries from taxing authorities
- Assist with Raytheon’s required tax disclosures for FIN 48 and FAS 109
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- 8 years of work experience in an accounting, planning or forecasting role
- 4 years of tax planning experience
- Proven strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently, develop new ideas, be flexible, and take ownership
- Excellent communication, research, and writing skills
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Required Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Desired Education or Experience:
- Advanced degree or CPA
- Experience in taxation of government contractors
