Our client, one of the largest companies in their industry is rebuilding their income tax group and has a unique opening for someone to step into the day-to-day coordination role over the global tax provision. This company has been given the mandate by senior management to build a “best in class” tax department and this role will be critical to the success of this massive rebuilding project. The ideal candidate will be exposed to high level executives throughout this company and have the ability to demonstrate their leadership skills by managing the most visible function of the tax department! Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 7+ overall years of experience with a strong emphasis on tax accounting issues for a large publicly traded company.
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, CPA, MST, a strong PLUS.
- Experience working with Sarbanes-Oxley controls required.
- Experience working with FIN 48 issues required.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interface with multiple groups inside tax as well as cross functional groups outside the tax function required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to manage large projects with high exposure.
- Experience managing multiple projects and experience managing direct and indirect reports preferred.
- Exposure to international tax issues preferred.
- Knowledge of FAS123R issues preferred.
