Director of International Tax

Southwestern Michigan

Our client, a Fortune 200 manufacturer, is seeking a new Director of International Tax to join this world class tax department that is viewed by upper management as one of the highest performing departments in the company. We are seeking an individual who must have:

·        The ability to develop and drive sophisticated and creative tax planning.

·    Is capable of working with upper management, cross functional leaders and directly with the    operations/business units and outside advisors in developing/implementing global tax strategies.

·       The ability and desire to manage and develop a global tax staff.

·        The desire to enjoy high quality of life in an outdoor oriented community.

Candidate Profile:

·      Minimum of 12 years of corporate tax experience with a combination of professional services and in-house preferred.

·       Bachelor’s degree with a CPA or graduate degree preferred.

·      Extensive U.S. international research and planning experience critical including specific technical areas such as FTC, Subpart F and 482.

·      Ability to manage and mentor a large team.

·      Outstanding communication skills with the ability to interface at very high levels and be able to influence people on important tax issues.  Dynamic and driven to work on sophisticated research and planning projects.
