The Tax Manager will report to the Sr. Manager, Intl. Tax and is responsible for providing input into the goals and strategy for minimizing the company’s overall tax burden. This position is responsible for foreign tax compliance activities with emphasis on EMEA and LA, and tax reporting, forecasting, quarterly and year-end provision.
Assist in reporting, forecasting, quarterly and year-end foreign provision work following FAS109 and FIN 48 principles.
Assist Sr. Manager and Director on the preparation of FIN 48 documentation for all foreign countries.
Compiles and prepares information for international tax planning or compliance projects.
Prepare the calculation of FTC, Subpart F, and any other calucation rquired on the US Federal tax return related to foreign subsidiaries.
Preparation of foreign E&P, dividend and Sec. 987 calculation to be used for 5471’s and 8858’s.
Responsible for the calculation of G&A to be charged out of US to foreign subsidiaries and to be allocated to FSI.
Assist the Tax Director in transfer pricing compliance and reporting.
Review Form 5471’s, 1118’s, 8858’s and any other Form or statement required on the US Tax Return in relation to foreign subsidiaries.
Responsible in foreign compliance activities, including working with foreign compliance consultants.
Monitor VAT and Withholding tax compliance in different foreign jurisdictions including gathering documentation needed to support US tax return.
Assist in US federal and foreign tax audits, including gathering of transfer pricing documentation.
Assists with coordinating interactions with outside advisors and internal staff on international tax issues.
Improve overall efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of the tax department.
Manages department staff and develop co-workers in the tax department.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; CPA required; MST or other advanced degree a STRONG plus.
Minimum 5 - 7 years overall experience with an emphasis on federal and international tax compliance; prior experience in Big 4 public accounting a plus.
Strong skills in tax accounting/FAS109 *US GAAP.
Fundamental knowledge of international tax principles.
Strong tax research skills along with solid organizational and project management skills.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Flexible personality with the ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects.
