Corporate Tax Accountant

Indianapolis, Indiana 

The person in this position will manage the tax issues associated with the implementation and adoption of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). The position requires a strong knowledge of tax accounting and experience in both domestic and international tax. It requires working closely with Corporate Financial Reporting, overseas subsidiaries, and external auditors.

KEY OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES:

·        Finalize detailed level assessment of IFRS and U.S.GAAP tax related differences.

·        Understand IFRS differences for each accounting issue in order to assess the tax impact.

·        Develop and implement solutions for tax IFRS issues.

·        Work with overseas subsidiaries regarding local tax issues and IFRS implementation plans.

·        Coordinate IFRS conversion, including parallel reporting.

·        Communicate updates and progress to project management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

·        Bachelors Degree.

·        CPA Certification.

·        7-9 years of corporate tax experience, both domestic and international tax, including 5 years of income tax accounting experience.

·        Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES:

·        Large multi-national corporate experience.

·        Big 4 Accounting Firm experience.

·        IFRS experience.

·        Excellent communication, organization, and self-management skills.

·        Strong leadership skills.

·        Desire and positive attitude to work as part of a team.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:

·        Travel: 10-15 domestic and international.
