Due to company growth, our client, a Fortune 100 company that’s a leader in their industry, has created a planning role on its team that will lead a group responsible for all of the company’s merger and acquisition planning, federal tax planning, state tax income tax planning, and state income tax audit matters.  Reporting directly to the VP of Tax, the ideal candidate will bring a strong sub-C tax planning background to the table with exceptional communication and leadership skills with the willingness and desire to broaden their experience in the state planning and audit space.   This position will offer the following:

Position requirements:

• CPA, MS TAX, or JD strongly preferred
• 8+ years minimum years of experience
• Experience in M&A, audit, research, and tax planning. Demonstrate technical tax skills appropriate for the years of experience in one or more tax disciplines. Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage and implement multiple complex projects, people management, and communications to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven analytical and problem-resolution skills.
• Collaborative personality with the ability and desire to develop deep technical expertise with junior staff.
